Easter Bunny

Published by raesmom under Seasonal Edit This

Easter is almost here and I want to make my little girl an Easter bunny instead of buying one.  The Lion Brand website has a really cute one which I think I will make for a baby shower girl. But for my girl, I want more like a miniature bunny- maybe even two or six.

I might take my little egg pattern and add some long ears and a fluffy tail to make a bunny. It definitely needs to be palm size because she really loves small toys right now.

Animals always take a little longer. The basic body isn’t that hard but it’s all those other parts that can take some time. I think I still have plenty of time to whip up a few bunnies. At least I hope so.

Christmas Tree Skirt

Published by raesmom under Seasonal Edit This

916317_30776817.jpgI was hoping to hold off on putting a Christmas tree up this year but find I’m wanting to have it up as soon as possible. I have never had a tree skirt but would really like to make one for Christmas this year. There is a pattern in Crochet World for one that is really cute but might just try free forming one.

When I’m looking for inspiration, I search Google images for ideas. It’s a great way to get several ideas at a glance. It’s also a faster method to find something close to what you have in mind for a crochet project. This year I will probably keep it pretty basic since I need to whip it up in a hurry. Next year I will try to do one with more style.

Here are a few free Christmas tree skirt patterns that look fun for either this year or next -

White skirt with holly

Round ripple tree skirt

Poinsettia tree skirt

Elegant Christmas tree skirt

Old fashioned tree skirt

Caron crochet Christmas tree skirt
