Fun Fur

Published by raesmom at 6:59 pm under General Edit This

Fun fur is one of those yarns that I absolutely have no idea how to use. I have a lot of it because of some yarn that I bought at a rummage sale. I would really like to find a use for it.

Today I received the Lion Brand catalog in the mail and it dawned on me that I could search for free fun fur patterns on their website. Why haven’t I thought of that before? Surely I can find some patterns or inspiration for the fun fur.

There are some cute ideas like a wrap, amigurumi, witch’s hat, and more. There are plenty of ideas, so I will have to give them a good look to decide if I want to make any of them. It would be great to use some of this fun fur. It’s such a specialty yarn. I might make some boas for my nieces since that would be really cute and could be made to fit their size and taste. I guess there might be more that I can do with fun fur after all.

I use two skeins together to make scarves for my kids and their friends. You can make a bag using regular yarn then add a border with the fun fur. Fun fur is fun if you use it right. The main thing is to have fun! Good luck finding a pattern!
