Swaps
Do you like to swap? Swaps are very popular on crafting forums. Members sign up for a theme swap. They must craft so many items for their partner and mail it out by a certain date. So far I’ve completed one and am taking part in one right now. It’s fun - especially since you can try new things that you otherwise might not get a chance to do.
For my latest swap, I crocheted a purse. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now but have been holding back. I wasn’t sure how to line a purse, so I stayed away from even trying to do it. But I must say that for my first purse, it turned out really well. I’m excited to start another one.
Swaps are fun because there is something you receive that is made just for you. Plus you get a chance to connect with another crafty person. It’s fun but when it gets down to crunch time can be a lot of crafting crammed into a short span of time.
I think I will take a break and try another one in January. It’s too much fun not to do again.
