Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon

Published by raesmom at 10:51 pm under Patterns Edit This

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I made a few awareness ribbons from a really neat ribbon pattern through Crochetville.

It was super easy and took about 10 minutes to whip one of these up. It’s basically several short rows of double crochet, chaining over one double crochet on about row five to make the slit to feed the end of the ribbon through. I had meant to whip up several of these for the office but other crochet projects kept me from completing my goal. I did manage to get a few done. The multi-colored is cotton yarn and at first I didn’t know if I really liked it or not. I admit it is kind of growing on me as the cotton yarn is a little stiffer and holds its shape better than the acrylic yarn.

It’s an easy ribbon to make to show your support for breast cancer research and other causes.
